SAP Transaction Banking (TRBK) Using and IBM System Storage DS8300/DS4800 Storage Servers

Overview

SAP Standard Application Benchmarks help customers and partners find the appropriate hardware configuration for their IT solutions. Working in concert, SAP and the hardware partners developed the SAP Standard Application Benchmarks to test the hardware and database performance of SAP applications and components. The benchmarking procedure is standardized and well defined. It is monitored by the SAP Benchmark Council made up of representatives of SAP and technology partners involved in benchmarking. The purpose of this paper is to provide the performance characteristics of the SAP Transaction Banking (TRBK) benchmark process on IBM System p Power6 with DB2 Version 9 Update 2 using IBM DS8300 and DS4800 Storage subsystems.
