According to NCS in a statement, the contract is worth over HK$300 million (US$38.7 million), including costs for the development and the maintenance for 10 years.

Targeted to be completed by 2007, the online system will provide a secure document and record management solution, enabling ImmD to move toward to a workflow-based, paperless environment.

The public will be able to use the system to book their appointments online, as well as submit and check the progress of their visa applications, pay service fees and communicate with ImmD offices electronically.
