SINGAPORE--The Technology Transfer Network (TTN), a collaborative alliance of technology transfer offices, has extended its global reach with the addition of six members to its fold.
New Zealand's Auckland UniServices, AUT Innovation and Enterprise, and WaikatoLink; the United States' Binghamton University, State University of New York; Canada's BC Cancer Agency; and Germany's INI-GraphicsNet have joined the TTN as affiliate members.
Their membership was unveiled here Tuesday at the inaugural TTN Innovation and Enterprise Forum (IEF), a platform promoting an ecosystem of angel investors, technology transfer organizations, venture capitalists and research institutes, according to the TNN.
Based in Singapore, the alliance was founded in February 2008 with the aim to enhance the effectiveness of transferring research work and technology into the industry. Its members share best practices, leverage expertise and resources, and collaborate on networking opportunities.
The addition of the six members brings the TTN's total membership base to 22 across Asia, the United States, Canada, Europe and New Zealand.
On the introduction of the IEF, the TTN's chairman Boon Swan Foo said in a press release: "The IEF is yet another platform where we share best practices about incubation, translational research and technology transfer. These issues are gaining much traction lately as Singapore steps up its efforts to help local companies leverage technologies, and remain competitive in turbulent times."
