The Australian chief of Finnish telecommunications networking company Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN), Simon Beresford-Wylie, will leave by November.
The former chief of Telstra's Indian mobile company, Modi Telstra India, had joined NSN's handset-making parent, Nokia, in 1998. He was credited as a key driver behind the 2006 joint venture with Siemens AG to create the network infrastructure focused NSN. He was appointed as CEO of NSN in 2007.
The merger between the mobile operator equipment divisions of the Finnish and German companies was disrupted when it was forced, early in the integration phase, to investigate allegations over Siemens executives accepting bribes.
Beresford-Wylie will be replaced by NSN's Asia Pacific boss Rajeev Suri as the company's chief.
