SINGAPORE--Phone users from other telcos will be able to access M1's international direct dial (IDD) service from next month. Currently, only subscribers to M1's moibile service have access to the company's 002 premium service, and its economy 021 offering. They are about 40 percent and 50 percent lower than similar services.

SingTel fixed-line subscribers in homes and offices will be able to use the M1 services by April 6. Subscribers to StarHub's cell phone service will be able to use the IDD services by April 1. However, users will first have to register with M1. To attract users to sign up, M1 will exchange new fixed-line phones for old ones until March 30 in Boat Quay, The Straits Times reported.
