StarHub claims 99.95% network coverage

SINGAPORE--Local info-communications provider StarHub Pte Ltd announced that its street level service coverage has improved to 99.95 percent, according to the Info-communication Development Authority's (IDA) latest Mobile QoS Performance survey for the quarter ended June 2001.

According to the survey, StarHub's "Street Level Service Coverage" increased from 99.92 percent for the quarter ended March, when measured along IDA stipulated routes and Housing Development Board town areas.

Its "Call Success" rate also inched up to 98.64 percent from 98.4 percent, while its "Call Drop-out" rate improved from 2.4 percent to 0.31 percent, StarHub said in a statement.
