HONG KONG--Networking giant Cisco Systems has announced it has signed up three new local tertiary education institutions as partners in its Cisco Networking Academy Program.

The three institutions, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Polytechnic University will join the Vocational Training Council as regional academies, supporting so-called local academies in providing training to future networking engineers.

Under the program, which was launched in March in Hong Kong, Cisco provides the curriculum, training, support and equipment.

Graduates can become Cisco Certified Networking Associates.
