SINGAPORE--SingTel will increase the coverage of its BudgetCall service from the current 55 destinations to all 223 IDD destinations come October 15.

BudgetCall rates to Japan, South Korea, China and Israel will also be reduced by up to 38 percent. The new rates per minute are 99 cents for Japan and Israel, 84 cents for South Korea and S$1.44 for China.

The rest of the new BudgetCall destinations are priced at S$1.89 per minute except for Bangladesh at S$1.74, Hungary at S$1.49 and Qatar at S$1.49.

Launched last August, BudgetCall is an alternative international voice service offering lower rates. It can be made from any phone line with IDD access by simply dialing 013 followed by country code and the phone number.
