Under the alliance, Amsterdam-based Getronics and computing giant HP will offer customers a complete suite of IT, or information technology, management software and consulting services as well as software components that will let companies begin conducting their business over the Net, the two companies said in a statement
By combining Getronics' consulting services with HP's OpenView, the company's family of management software products and services, the two companies said they will be able to help customers select and implement technology that best meets their needs and frees their time to focus on core business.
As part of the deal, Getronics said it intends to complete HP OpenView implementation projects in more than 40 countries. Those projects will be devoted to providing the combined HP business management software and Getronics' consulting services and support expertise.
Already, Getronics said it is the market leader in HP OpenView implementation projects in the Netherlands and will target implementation deals in Italy and Spain in 2000.
