HONG KONG--ON Semiconductor, the recently spun-off analog and discrete semiconductor components arm of Motorola, has become the first anchor tenant of Hong Kong's new Science Park.
The company will establish its Asia Pacific headquarters in the park, construction of which is due to begin next year, with the first phase due for completion by the end of 2001.
ON Semiconductor will occupy 30,000 square feet of office space in the park.
Henry Leung, vice president and general manager for Asia Pacific for ON said: "By establishing the Asia Pacific headquarters in Hong Kong, ON Semiconductor reinforces our commitment to this, the fastest growing region in the world."
