WASHINGTON--Walt Disney Company is lobbying the U.S. Congress to oppose America Online's planned $180 billion acquisition of Time Warner, according to reports.

Disney is concerned that its programming won't get fair access to AOL Web sites if the transaction is approved. Disney executives met with government officials, emailed articles and wrote letters expressing concern about AOL's practices to the Federal Trade Commission, The Wall Street Journal reported.

Disney's ABC unit last month planned to pull its programming from Time Warner's cable-television system in Houston after disagreements about network programming.
