Internet visionary and Netscape Communications co-founder Marc Andreessen is set to announce he has invested in Collab.Net, a site for uniting corporations with open-source programmers.

Slashdot teams with Quios for wireless distribution
Through an agreement between wireless information transmitter Quios and Slashdot's parent company, Andover.Net, headlines from the site will be sent to the cell phones of Quios network members.

Red Hat reports smaller-than-expected loss
The Linux distributor reports a smaller-than-expected fourth-quarter loss, driven by strong demand from Internet-related companies.
