SNGAPORE--Come March, Lim Joo Hong will replace Stephen Yeo, who is stepping down to pursue other interests, as Singapore Computer Systems' (SCS) president and CEO.

Lim, 48, was previously chief operating officer of the defunct Asiacontent.com, an online media outfit.

A government scholar and Science graduate from Oxford University, Lim began his career in the Singapore Ministry of Defence's IT division as head of the combat simulation group. In 1982, he received a scholarship to pursue postgraduate studies at Dartmouth College.

By 1984, Lim was deputy director of the Information Technology Institute of Singapore and a program manager at the National Computer Board. He also had stints at Mentor Graphics, an electronics design automation systems maker and Spectris China, a test and measurement systems provider.

"Joo Hong brings with him good regional experience and a steady management track record. We are confident SCS will continue to grow under his leadership," said Tay Siew Choon, chairman of SCS.
