Indian software company Wipro Technologies said Friday that it's opened a new development center in Munich, Germany. It's the third such center to be set up in Germany, after those in Kiel and Dusseldorf. The Munich office will target Wipro's European operations, which have seen more than 50 percent year-on-year growth.

Wipro's European clients, which include Aviva, Prudential, Thames Water, Skandia and Loyalty Gate, account for 30 percent of its global IT services revenues. The Munich Center will be manned by locally recruited staff, the Bangalore-based company said.
