Computer Sciences Corp. has sealed a US$17.6 million software and IT services deal with China Pacific Property Insurance Company, the country's second-largest property and general insurer.
Under the five-year contract, CSC will replace the insurance firm's existing business software package with its own insurance administration system, called Futurefirst.
According to a joint statement, Futurefirst will help manage more than 13 million policies for CPPIC's clients, automating processes such as underwriting, billing and collection, as well as claims.
The system will be deployed across CPPIC's 1,700 offices throughout China, the companies added.
