KUALA LUMPUR--Top Layer Networks, Inc and PDX Group have formalized a strategic alliance for the deployment of Top Layer's networking devices in PDX data centers and the appointment of PDX Teknologi as its strategic technology partner in Malaysia.
Top Layer's network security solutions will provide security and network traffic management against attacks and intrusion while managing traffic flow for PDX Group's data centers at Technology Park Malaysia (TPM) and Cyberjaya, said PDX Teknologi Sdn Bhd's general manager P. Jayakumar.
The two data centers, costing about RM3 million, will host PDX Group's various portals and e-commerce initiatives, including the gateway for the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) e-government flagship application and the hosting of Web services for PDX Group's customers.
"PDX's recently completed data center at TPM would serve as the nerve center for the e-government project," said Jayakumar at the agreement signing ceremony yesterday.
PDX.com Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PDX Computer Sdn Bhd was appointed the gateway provider by the government in May this year.
The first phase is expected to commence by early next year and will enable Malaysians to access electronically personal data held in government departments and transact with various agencies, including online payment for utility bills.
