SINGAPORE--StarHub is offering free Internet bandwidth to businesses that subscribe to the company's 2Mbps Internet leased line package, according to a StarHub statement.
"Business costs are increasing over the years. So we want to make sure that our services remain competitive and relevant to today's business environment," said Alex Siow, StarHub's head of business markets.
"This new offer to provide free Internet bandwidth on 2Mbps corporate leased lines will add significant value to many local and international business operations by lowering their business expenses without compromising on Internet quality," Siow added.
Priced originally at about S$2,800 (US$1,657) per month, StarHub will now offer their 2Mbps Internet leased line package starting from about S$1,400 (US$828) per month for the first 200 business customers.
The new package comes with an 18-month contract and includes a router and round-the-clock technical hotline support. The offer is targeted at small- and medium-sized businesses and multi-national companies based in Singapore.
StarHub's Internet leased line service connects a company's local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) to the Internet directly through a dedicated connection, for businesses to run software on remote computers, perform large file transfers and communicate electronically.
