Red Flag Software, a Chinese seller of the open-source operating system, has joined Open Source Development Labs. OSDL is a industry consortium that includes Intel, Hewlett-Packard, Red Hat, Novell and many other computing companies.

Executives from top Linux seller Red Hat met with Red Flag representatives in late 2004, but Red Hat Chief Executive Matthew Szulik declined to comment in detail on the nature of discussions.
