Suse Linux 10.0 to hit retail in October

Novell said Wednesday that a retail version of its latest Linux operating system will ship in early October.

Suse Linux 10.0 will be sold globally online as well as through major retail channels for US$59, the company said.

It includes test versions of the Firefox browser and the Windows-compatible OpenOffice.org 2.0 office suite. The package has been developed as part of the recently launched OpenSuse project.
