It's cool tech galore at CommunicAsia show, including a Femtocell base station and the world's first HSDPA Pocket PC phone.


A new application--dubbed Video to Audio Connection--by IP Unity Glenayre, a U.S.-based provider of messaging and multimedia solutions over Internet protocol, connects videos calls from 3G-enabled handsets to non-video 2G-based phones. According to a company representative, carriers can also choose to stream video clips to the 3G-enabled handset while the call is in progress--an advertising platform for carriers to leverage.
