Microsoft mice coming soon

Notebook mice that reduce touchpad fatigue

Microsoft will be releasing three new notebook mice that the company hopes will reduce touchpad fatigue. Microsoft says its Microsoft Mobile Memory Mouse 8000 will be the industry's first rechargeable notebook mouse with 1GB of flash memory built right into the transceiver.

Users can store items such as photos, PowerPoint presentations, Word documents or music files, Microsoft says. The mouse offers instant access to Windows Vista Flip 3D which helps users flip through windows quickly.

Microsoft Mobile Memory Mouse 8000 also can recharge while in use, which is helpful because the AAA battery offers just three weeks' worth of use. Microsoft Mobile Memory Mouse 8000 is expected to be available in October 2007 for an estimated retail price of US$99.95.

Microsoft Mobile Memory Mouse 8000 will be available in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand at the end of October.
