Pay phones survive, improved though

2009-06-17 19:25:02

Public pay phones make a comeback, packed with a lot more interactive multimedia functions.

This multimedia payphone incorporates the basic phone function, Internet surfing, wireless Internet connection and advertising, all in one kiosk.

Louis Lu, staff, sales department of Function Group, explained the kiosk can display advertisements when the phone is not in use.

This kiosk is displaying the Chinese Web site Baidu.com, showing how it is capable of displaying videos apart from allowing users to check e-mail or just surf the Internet.
