13 hours 13 minutes ago by bessellbrowne on Google Calendar gets 'smart' reschedulingZDNet is available in the following editions:

Yahoo Asia has shortlisted candidates to replace Savio Chow, its vice president and managing director, who will leave the company at the end of the month.
We're looking internally and externally (for a replacement), Yahoo Asia spokesperson Pauline Wong told Singapore.CNET.com Monday.
However, Wong could not confirm whether Yahoo's existing heads in Singapore, Hong Kong and India--Christina Teo, Alfred Tsoi and Deepak Chandnani respectively--were among those selected.
Yahoo China general manager Dennis Zhang is out of the running as he too left the company late last year. A replacement has yet to be identified, Wong said.
In the interim, Yahoo Inc senior vice president (International Operations) Heather Killen will assume Chow's role, Wong said.
However, Wong could not say when a new head would eventually be appointed.
In her current position, Killen is responsible for the company's growth outside of the US, including managing international alliances.
Prior to joining Yahoo in 1996, she ran Ziff Davis Inc's online business in Europe and was an investment banker with Salomon Brothers.
The Asian Wall Street Journal Monday reported that Chow's departure was due to personal reasons.
Chow joined Yahoo two years ago. Under his helm, its operations expanded from Japan and South Korea to Singapore, Hong Kong, China and Taiwan.
He was previously Netscape Communications general manager (North Asia) until the sudden closure of the company's Hong Kong office in November 1998.
