The broadband rates at around RM70 to RM80 a month not including the deposit and added government tax makes it out of reach of the normal citizen with a low salary due to the low salary policy brought about by the previous administration to make the country low cost in order to compete. Now not only are we low salary but we are high cost when it comes to ICT systems and inefficient when it comes to providing instant services and uploadings. Further, the outsourcing of promoting the broadband services by the main telco has made the customer interface with the public rather much like a circus show. Believe me I was once asked if I would like to market the broadband even though I was not employed by the telco.
