Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook Q2010
Reviews The LifeBook Q2010 is a very expensive notebook, its price partly justified by the use of costly components such as weight-saving titanium and the shiny 'piano lacquer' finish. It's also unashamedly an executive status symbol.

Acer TravelMate 6592
Reviews This is an affordable notebook that should suit anyone looking for a capable, mostly desk-bound, system. The webcam is a nice extra, while fingerprint recognition is fast becoming a 'must have' feature for business users.

GETAC B300
Reviews Like many seriously rugged notebooks, the B300 is an expensive piece of kit. We particularly like the 'sunlight readable' screen option and touch-screen capability, although its 4:3 aspect ratio makes this 13.3in. notebook seem a little dated.

Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook P7230
Reviews The LifeBook P7230 isn't the most stylish of ultraportables and we have a few minor niggles, but overall it performs very solidly indeed.

HP Compaq 2710p
Reviews The HP Compaq 2710p stands out by virtue of its stylish design. It's not the lightest ultraportable, though, and many mobile professionals will want to specify the 3G option. The lack of an optical drive and a touchpad may also bother some potential buyers.

Itronix GoBook MR-1
Reviews Small of format and impressively rugged of build, the GoBook MR-1 can withstand a lot of abuse in the field. Unfortunately, your wallet will also have to take some punishment if you choose to buy it.

Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook S6420
Reviews The LifeBook S6420 combines portability, 3G support and an integrated webcam, and supports an optional second battery in the optical drive bay. Although we have a few gripes, it's a good choice for the mobile professional.

Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo Mobile U9210
Reviews Fujitsu Siemens' Esprimo Mobile U9210 is a solidly built, if chunky, ultraportable that should cope well with life on the road. Battery life could be better, though, and we'd prefer a bigger screen and more USB ports.

Lenovo ThinkPad X200 Tablet
Reviews Although it lacks an optical drive and a touchpad, and battery life could be better, this is a typically well-built ThinkPad. If you're a Tablet PC fan, it's a very good (if somewhat pricey) choice.
