Sony Vaio VGN-Z11WN/B
Reviews Beautifully designed and reassuringly robust, the 1.5kg Vaio Z11 marries a decent-sized 13.1in. screen with good portability and integrated 3G/HSDPA. It's not flawless, but if you can afford it, buy it.

Dell Latitude XT2
Reviews The Dell Latitude XT2's key feature is its largely successful multi-touch capability. Build quality is excellent, but the absence of an integrated optical drive is a nuisance and battery life is disappointing.

Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook Q2010
Reviews The LifeBook Q2010 is a very expensive notebook, its price partly justified by the use of costly components such as weight-saving titanium and the shiny 'piano lacquer' finish. It's also unashamedly an executive status symbol.

Toshiba Satellite Pro U300
Reviews The U300 is available in a wide range of configurations, making it a flexible option. The build quality could be better in places and the keyboard is distinctly spongy. It's a good performer, though, and nicely designed.

Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo Mobile U9200
Reviews Fujitsu Siemens' Esprimo Mobile U9200 delivers solid build quality and a reasonable set of features, including integrated 3G/HSDPA connectivity. The company will need to clearly differentiate its new Esprimos from the existing LifeBook range though.

HP EliteBook 6930p
Reviews HP's EliteBook 6930p is a solidly built 'thin and light' system that comes in a wide range of configurations. We have reservations about the entry-level screen resolution and USB port placement, but overall this is a decent mobile business workhorse.

Sony Vaio VGN-TT11WN/B
Reviews This is an attractive ultraportable with a high-quality screen, a good keyboard and integrated mobile broadband. But for the (high) asking price we'd expect a larger hard drive, a better webcam, more USB ports and better graphics performance.

Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook S6420
Reviews The LifeBook S6420 combines portability, 3G support and an integrated webcam, and supports an optional second battery in the optical drive bay. Although we have a few gripes, it's a good choice for the mobile professional.
