Sony VPL-FE40

Sony VPL-FE40

Reviews The VPL-FE40 is an ideal projector for showcasing presentations, video and images in medium- to large-sized meeting rooms and auditoriums. The only downside is the cost, both to purchase and run, which will limit the VPL-FE40 to large organisations with big budgets.

OQO model e2

Reviews Although the OQO model e2 is a nicely built UMPC with a neat docking station, we can't see it replacing the notebook in your briefcase or the handheld in your pocket.

Sony Vaio VGN-TT11WN/B

Reviews This is an attractive ultraportable with a high-quality screen, a good keyboard and integrated mobile broadband. But for the (high) asking price we'd expect a larger hard drive, a better webcam, more USB ports and better graphics performance.

Lenovo ThinkPad SL500

Reviews The ThinkPad SL500 is attractively priced, solidly built and a good performer. We're particularly impressed with the high-resolution 15.4in. screen. However, there are one or two design quirks, the webcam is basic and battery life could be longer.

Toshiba Satellite Pro U400-10H

Reviews The Satellite Pro U400 has a number of strong points, but the battery life, in particular, is disappointing. It could be a good choice if you need a compact notebook that'll spend most of its time on the desktop. But mobile professionals needing a long-lived system away from mains power may want to look elsewhere.
