We are looking for experienced MySQL DBAs Should have handled. 1. Replication: master-slave, master-master-slave 2. Restoring: point-in-time, restore a master 3. Backups: table, databases, utilities needed for backing up, affects on table types 4. Query tuning: adding/removing indexes, rewriting queries for better performance 5. Configuration tuning: for query and overall database performance 6. Installation on UNIX o/s 7. Upgrades on UNIX o/s 8. Hands on experience in MySQL 4.x and 5.x Other skills: 1. Basic knowledge of UNIX with regard to moving and compressing files, creating users, simple troubleshooting 2. Excellent English for verbal and written skills. You will need to be able to communicate to the U.S. team as well as customers in the U.S. 3. Work well within a team environment.
