Websphere Application Server Administrator: Qualification : The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or a relevant discipline. Preferred Professional Qualifications: Should have completed WebSphere Application Server for z/OS implementation (ES685) Job Description and Required Knowledge: The WAS Administrator will have the necessary qualifications and knowledge to perform the following functions: Understand the basics of object-oriented applications, EJBs, and the J2EE standard runtime environment Prepare the base z/OS environment, including all system prerequisites Plan for and configure the WAS runtime environment using the supplied Interactive System Productivity Facility (ISPF) panel application Design and implement a complete security scheme for WAS V6 on the z/OS system Customize the WAS runtime, including the integral Java Messaging Services (JMS) provider Deploy an EJB application and a Web application into the WAS runtime using the systems management
