Major financial services organisation Excellent training and development opportunities Excellent working conditions - South Sydney location Our client is a major financial services organisation based in South Sydney. They require an experienced Sybase DBA to support and maintain their existing databases and assist with a number of major new projects. Role responsibilities: All technical DBA tasks from DB configuration, security, patching, upgrades, design, tuning, support and reporting. This will be performed from development through to production environments. Support, maintenance and administration of Sybase and SQL Server 2005/2008 databases utilising your substantial experience in large enterprise environments. Pro-active attitude to ensuring smooth operation and effectiveness of databases and Servers including backups, capacity planning, log shipping and mirroring. Assist with Sybase upgrade projects as required. Experience required: Minimum 3 years commercial Sybase administration
