Korean Trusts agree to purchase Hynix Semiconductor bonds

Hanwha Investment Trust Management Co and 14 other Korean investment trust companies that own Hynix Semiconductor Inc bonds agreed to buy new debt from the third-largest computer-memory-chip maker, clearing the way to reorganize US$3.8 billion of its debts.

Hynix Q1 loss US$307m; chip prices fall

Hynix Semiconductor Inc, the world's second-largest computer-memory-chip maker, said it lost 460 billion won (US$354 million) between January and March as the price of its main product collapsed and it booked charges to clean up its finances.
