The world's oldest communications company, BT has become more than a household name in Europe and is growing its brand quickly in the international markets.

BT Global Services, the arm of BT which incorporates the group's international business, has forecast revenues from Chinese, Indian, Japanese and U.S. markets will double by its 2008/09 financial year.

In 2004, BT announced that it planned to spend billions of dollars over the next few years to replace its existing legacy networks with a new Internet Protocol (IP) based infrastructure called 21CN or 21st Century Network.

A provider of a range of technologies and services for homes, as well as large organizations globally, BT's vision for 21CN is to enable a new generation of IP-based services.

This company is listed in Networking & Communications, Services.
