Headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, Fujitsu is the world's third-largest IT services provider and the company's business includes systems integration, personal computers, servers, storage, database and systems management software, semiconductors, plasma screens and even air conditioners.

The company first started as a subsidiary of Fuji Electric in 1935 and was then called Fuji Tsushinki Manufacturing with 700 employees. Today, Fujitsu has grown to a US$40.6 billion company and is staffed by 158,000 employees worldwide.

In August this year, Fujitsu joined the perpendicular storage revolution and announced that it will ship its first hard drive to use perpendicular recording in October the same year.

Fujitsu was also one of the multinational tech companies roped in by Singapore's Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) to develop solutions for the Singapore government workplace using current and emerging technologies and products.
