EDS has been expanding its footprint in Asia. The U.S. outsourcing giant has said it will invest US$35 milion in India over the next two years and double its staff strength to 1,000 in China by the end of 2006.

In October 2006, EDS hired Steve Ingram, the former CIO of DBS Bank, to head its Southeast Asian business.
