Infor Global Solutions is the third largest enterprise software provider, thanks to its acquisition strategy.

The software giant, ranked the 10th largest software company in the world, acquired SSA Global for US$1.6 billion this year. The transaction was completed on Jul. 28, 2006.

Infor also acquired Extensity, a provider of financial performance management software, and Systems Union Group, a U.K.-based provider of financial and performance management technology including budgeting, reporting, business intelligence and a suite of financial applications.

Extensity and Systems Union products will be delivered as part of Infor's expanding group of software such as enterprise asset management, customer relationship management, and supply chain planning and execution.

Boasting US$2.1 billion in revenue, Infor employs more than 8,000 staff and has direct offices in 100 countries.

Infor ranks among ZDNet Asia's Top 10 fastest-growing companies for 2006/07.
