Accenture


Established in 1989 primarily as a technology consultant and systems integrator, Accenture is now a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company.

Registered in Bermuda and headquartered in New York, the United States, the company has offices and operations in more than 200 cities in 52 countries and employs over 186,000 people.

For the fiscal year that ended Aug. 31, 2008, Accenture reported that it generated net revenues of US$23.39 billion.

In July, the consulting giant started offering a software to help companies become environmentally friendly. Dubbed Accenture Green Technology Suite, the software measures the "green" aspects of a corporation's information technology practices, data centers and office operations.

Recently, Accenture announced plans to open a management consulting innovation center in Singapore in early 2009.
