CSC (Computer Sciences Corporation), one of the world's leading IT services companies, was started with "a hundred dollars and a dream" in 1959.

The company is headquartered in Falls Church, Virginia, in the United States. Its business domains are in consulting; systems integration and outsourcing that includes systems design and integration; IT and business process outsourcing; applications software development; Web and application hosting; and management consulting.

In May, CSC agreed to a US$1.37 million settlement with the U.S. Justice Department to resolve kickback allegations filed by whistleblowers. In 2004, the company was accused of taking pay-outs from tech vendors in violation of government contract rules.

The IT services provider reported that second quarter revenues increased by 5.5 percent to US$4.24 billion from $4.02 billion a year earlier, while net income in the quarter rose to US$451.7 million compared to net income of US$75.8 million in the previous year.
