Hewlett-Packard

Hewlett-Packard has come a long way.

In August, the IT giant completed its acquisition of computer services company EDS. The US$13.9 billion deal, which was first announced in May, is said to be HP's second largest buyout after the acquisition of Compaq in 2002.

HP operates in more than 170 countries and employs some 320,000 staff globally.

In November, HP announced preliminary fourth-quarter results. The company reported US$33.6 billion in revenue, an increase of 19 percent from the same period a year ago.

This company is listed in Systems, Data storage management, Software infrastructure, Networking & Communications, Services.
