The presenters will discuss OpenSSO innovation and how it pushes access management, federation and secure Web services capabilities to a new level. The attendee will learn how to solve challenges around internal access management, extranet authentication, federation, and securing Web services with a single, open source solution.
80 days ago by Sun MicrosystemsHow to enable federated communication without tearing apart the existing identity infrastructure? The presenter will give an overview of the technology and issues behind the management of identities - both inside and outside the organization - and examines Sun's standards-based access management and federated single sign-on solutions.
80 days ago by Sun MicrosystemsIt's a situation that is familiar to many of us: you need to leave the office early but could really use a few more hours in the office. With a true remote working solution, both are possible. This whitepaper, produced by GGR Communications and People for Business, explores the topic of remote working from both an IT and HR perspective including the key considerations for implementing the solution and the implications.

Enterprise mobil-ity can improve an organization's productivity, optimizelogistics operations, enhance customer relationships and streamline supply chain management.
133 days ago by IBMThis paper provides insight on the failover and failback of an Oracle environment to provide best practices for maintaining business continuity during a failure or site disaster. The insight and understanding of the major considerations presented in this solution, along with knowing what to do before, during, and after recovery from a failure, are keys to the successful deployment of a failure tolerant Oracle 11g environment, using HP StorageWorks XP24000 Disk Array with HP StorageWorks XP Continuous Access Software.
233 days ago by Hewlett-Packard (HP)This white paper provides guidelines and data gathered from testing an Exchange Server 2007 disaster-tolerant solution from HP that meets a recovery point objective equal to zero: no data loss of committed data in case of server or storage failure or in case of a site disaster. The tested solution consisted of a geographically dispersed environment utilizing Microsoft Majority Node Set clusters (MNS), HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Arrays (EVA4400), HP StorageWorks Continuous Access array-based synchronous data replication, and HP StorageWorks Cluster Extension for EVA (CLX). The project scope was to develop a set of best practices for HP StorageWorks Cluster Extension and HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array EVA4400 for Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 on a Windows Server 2008 environment.
264 days ago by Hewlett-Packard (HP)Enterprise network customers encounter a wide variety of difficulties and complexities when designing and implementing a security infrastructure. The solution must be comprehensive, flexible, and able to grow and evolve in tandem with the network and the threats it faces. Alcatel-Lucent has a large portfolio of tools and solutions to help the enterprise network customer. One such solution is the Alcatel-Lucent Access Guardian, which integrates authentication, device compliance and access control functions directly into the network infrastructure at the switch level.
290 days ago by Alcatel-LucentThe new architecture eliminates the Avaya requirement for unfettered 24x7 accesses to customers' network equipment. Customers can take advantage of channel-neutral support by enabling self-service, Avaya support, and/or authorized partner support of their networks at levels never achieved before. And, customers can be in complete control of when and how Avaya, or any other service partner, accesses their equipment. With this new service and support architecture, Avaya has significantly changed its underlying software, procedures, and paradigms to provide customers with more choices, more control and improved security.

The SDPS will contribute for tree topology in EPON network. The SDPS will ensure the data flow continuously due to breakdown occur in the network and instantly repair operation. The protection mechanism for tree based optical switch will have capability to divert the signal onto protection line according to the types of failure condition and location of failures in access network. This paper represents for three types of protection mechanism which will employ the shared protection scheme. Three faulty conditions are considered in this paper and OptiSystem software is used to prove the solution feasibility.

Innovations that simplify network operations and deliver a higher Quality of Experience (QoE) to subscribers are necessary if service providers plan to remain competitive. Occam Networks understood this when, in 2000, it introduced the first access network loop carrier system using IP and Ethernet for services and transport. Today, as a result of nearly 10 years of experience with IP/Ethernet technology, the innovation continues with software features designed to advance these protocols from enterprise to carrier-class environments. These value-added software enhancements, which are embedded in the Occam Operating System (OS), are standard with all BLC 6000 equipment and include this paper's topic: IP Security Management.
